The Rolleicord Art Deco, introduced in 1933, is a twin-lens reflex camera that holds a special place in my collection. Known for its striking design, this vintage gem reflects the elegance of the Art Deco era, with its geometric lines and chrome accents making it as much an art piece as a tool for photography.
Despite its age, the Rolleicord’s build quality and manual controls allow for precise, thoughtful shooting. Its twin-lens system provides a unique way to compose and focus, separating the act of seeing from the act of capturing, which encourages a deeper connection with the scene.
Using this camera is an immersive experience. The manual settings slow down the process, making each photograph intentional, whether shooting landscapes or experimental black-and-white images.
